JFK to Manhattan by Subway
The NYC subway is the cheapest transfer option from JFK Airport to Manhattan. However, there’s no direct subway stop at JFK — you’ll first need to take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station or Howard Beach Station. The AirTrain stops at all terminals and runs 24/7 every 7–15 minutes, taking about 15 minutes to reach these stations.
From Jamaica Station, follow signs to Sutphin Blvd/Archer Ave/JFK Airport Station. There, you can board:
- Subway Line E → Queens, Midtown Manhattan (World Trade Center, Penn Station, Times Square)
- Lines J/Z → Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan (Little Italy, Chinatown)
